I don't know whose high ass invented the Super Veggie Supreme burrito but that shit is gnarly. I can only imagine it was someone stoned as fuck saying, "Yo, let's put not one but TWO full sized chile rellenos inside a regular veggie burrito. They cover that beast with a healthy scoop of that faux guacamole stuff most drive-thru Mexican places around here make. It's good, but not great. Then a giant scoop of enough sour cream to last a small family an entire month. Then some bullshit, unnessecary lettuce. And to top it all off, Cheech and Chong decide to throw a handful of greasy chips on there. For some reason, the whole thing just works and it's quite tasty. Next time, I'm gunna get baked and try it again to get the full experience.

This was a disappointment among other things in regard to south of the border cuisine in PDX. I have yet to find good authentic Mexican food here in Portland. After being charged a somewhat deceiving my low cost amount for chips and salsa, two basic bland chicken tacos, a chimichanga drenched in red sauce, and a medium drink I was overwhelmed by the lack of flavor and disappointed by higher expectations that were left in the same caliber; lackluster. The chicken tacos were no more than boiled chicken with no added seasoning placed on a corn tortilla, then overwhelmed by a disturbing amount of cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato. They left a slimy aftertaste in my mouth due to the large amount of grease from the overly fat ridden chicken. The chimichanga, ordered by my boyfriend was no more than the same overly greased chicken stuffed inside a deep fried tortilla, overwhelmingly drenched in red sauce. The chips and salsa were the best part of the meal, however, the salsa was pico de gallo and not true salsa. And don't ask for a free refill since they don't exist. You'll get an overly laden ice filled soda and a $.75 charge for a refill. Hands down not much seasoning, maybe not much in price, but definitely not much else good left about this establishment.

The best burrito I've ever had!!! Who would think to put a Chile relleno in the middle?? Hamburgers are to die for. Too hooked on these to try anything else!!

I love this place. Whenever I'm on this side of town I come here. This is a "fast food" restaurant but they have better tacos than most fancier Mexican restaurants I go to. I think they have the best tacos in town. Their other choices are good too. They are well-known for their wonderful burritos but I'm a taco gal. LOL ! I have to get their tacos every time I come here. :-).
They use seasoned shredded beef instead of the awful ground beef many places serve. And these tacos are in real taco shells, not the awful pressed/formed pre-made taco shells you can buy in the store that most places use. These are not Americanized tacos.
The prices are very reasonable and they keep the place clean. I highly recommend El Loco Burrito!
